Aan de voet van de Zoutelandse duinen ligt Camping Weltevreden. De camping is 2,7 hectaren en heeft kampeerplaatsen en chalets. Eigenaar Adriaan Wisse heeft een duidelijke visie voor zijn bedrijf: de ecologische voetdruk zo klein mogelijk maken. Camping Weltevreden werk naar een volledig zelfvoorzienend bedrijf. Hij heeft zijn energienetwerk aangepast en zonnepanelen en warmtepompen geplaatst. Via ons living lab gaat hij:
- Slimme meters ophangen om data te verzamelen over zijn energieverbruik;
- Een warmtebuffer ontwikkelen voor het overbruggen van het dag-nacht ritme;
- Laadpalen uitbreiden met ‘smart-charging’;
- Mogelijkheid om zelf energie op te wekken vergroten;
- ‘Power-balancing’ toepassen bij alle campingplaatsen.
