Measuring Co2 emissions at HZ
In 2015 and in 2019, we measured the CO2 emissions caused by HZ University of Applied Sciences. In 2019, about 77% of emissions are caused by students and employees travelling to and from HZ. This means that we can gain a lot by focusing on green mobility.

GoAbout
Need a bicycle? Grab one of the 50 shared bicycles for your trip in a few simple steps. The bicycles are equipped with a lock that you open with an app. You can unlock the bike with your phone, close the lock and return it to one of the drop-off locations at the end of your journey. Create an account, download the GoAbout app and start your journey! Shared bike Zeeland is an initiative of CycleHub, Province of Zeeland, GoAbout and HZ.
HZ Green Office actively supports bike riding. It's the most healthy and sustainable way of transport! Our collaboration with GoAbout is aiming to spread awareness about the availability of these shared bikes as an easy and affordable way to move around.
HZ Green Office organises a number of bike tours on the GoAbout bikes, visiting organic farms that are located near HZ.

E-Mobility park
With this project, our goal is to encourage HZ employees to make use of the electronic cars located near the HZ. We inform colleagues about the cars and the benefits.The linkage between this project and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that aim to transform our world:
