A
Alblasserwaard - Vijfheerenlanden + Riverine. The Alblasserwaard-Vijfheerenlanden tilts from east to west and lies two meters below sea level. During flood event, water levels can rise 4 meters above elevation level.  +
Assens + Storm surge / sea level.  +
B
Butt Green Shield + Riverine, sea and surface water  +
D
Denderleeuw + Fluvial. The Dender has naturally a quick hydrological response because of the loam soils in the uphill zones. In case of intense rainfall, the river response is relatively quickly, increasing its level. Furthermore, the Dender Basin has been subject to land sealing through urbanization enhancing this process.  +
F
Flood Proof Electricity Grid Zeeland + Sea flooding  +
G
Geraardsbergen + * Rainfall floods in Moerbeke-Viane * River floods in the centre of Geraardsbergen For both, the the risk probability is considered medium. The Dender has naturally a quick hydrological response because the combination of a strong topography and the loam soils in the uphill zones (VMM, 2016). In case of intense rainfall, the river response is relatively quickly, increasing its level. Furthermore, the Dender Basin has been subject to land sealing through urbanization enhancing this process.   +
K
Kent + Fluvial, pluvial, surface water and tidal flood risk are all present in Kent, and some flooding occurs regularly around the county.  +
L
Lustrum Beck + Predominantly fluvial and pluvial risk. Hard surfaces in urban areas and reduced number of gardens in favor of parking are exacerbating issues.  +
M
Medway + Fluvial and pluvial flooding, exacerbated by landcover change which has reduced surface roughness, rapid run-off from impervious clay soils on the high ground, and from steeper slopes onto the lower lying land of the Low Weald. There is also the lesser-known risk of groundwater flooding dues to the presence of springs in areas such as Tunbridge Wells. The catchment has suffered significant flooding in 1968, 2000/01 and most recently in 2013/14. Generally, a total of 9000 properties (2.246 homes and businesses) are at risk in the Medway catchment .  +
N
Ninove + Fluvial. The Dender has naturally a quick hydrological response because of the loam soils in the uphill zones. In case of intense rainfall, the river response is relatively quickly, increasing its level. Furthermore, the Dender Basin has been subject to land sealing through urbanization enhancing this process.  +
R
Reimerswaal + Sea flooding; very low probability(>1:1000 years), flood return period 1:4000 years (interview with pilot manager, 2019).  +
Roskilde + Sea flooding. The municipality of Roskilde town is located at the mouth of the Roskilde Fjord as part of the North Sea.  +
S
Sloe area + Riverine. The Sloehaven lies outside the dike ring 29 and it’s about 4 to 5 metres above sea level.  +
Southwell + Fluvial. Southwell itself sits within a ‘basin’; when rainfall is particularly heavy or when there is a period of flash flooding, the surface water runs off the hills and roads into the bottom of the basin, overwhelming the drainage system and creating pockets of flooding.  +
V
Vejle + River and sea flooding. Usually, flooding from the river when heavy rainfalls happen and from the sea when there are storm surges events with a return period of 1:20. The flooding coming from rivers are more common than the flooding coming from the sea.  +
W
Wesermarsch + Riverine, rainfall and sea flooding. The flood hazard level is considered 1, not harmful. In case of a storm surge with dike breaches, impacts are high (because area is low-lying and would be flooded quickly); in case of river or/and rainfall flooding the impacts are rather small scale / very localized.  +
