Summary
Camping Kreekebos is located in Zeeland, the Netherlands. With its 53 places for campers, caravans, and tents, the campsite is small. There are also two sustainable and circular accommodations located on camping grounds. Owners Ina and Peter run their camping with a focus on sustainability. Respect for humans, the environment, and nature are at the center of this. This philosophy includes saving energy and using sustainable energy.
Sustainable energy: The sanitary building and the accommodations on the campsite are heated with ground source heat pumps. Within approximately eight years, they will have recouped the purchase costs of the pumps.
The circular accommodations both have an air source heat pump to create a good temperature in the rooms. For hot water, the accommodations use a heat pump boiler. This boiler converts heat from the ventilation air into hot water which can then be used to shower or for the kitchen. A solar water heater supplies the sanitary buildings with hot water. The power of the sun is also used to generate energy. The reception and the accommodations bold have solar panels on their roofs.
In addition to generating energy, the owners also focus on preventing energy waste. This starts with controlling energy consumption. That is why all accommodations are equipped with thermostats to manage the temperature inside. Besides that, all camping pitches are linked to an energy management system that registers energy consumption.
