INCASE | INCASE develops knowledge, innovative applications and pilots on key enabling automation technologies for the future I4.0. INCASE will deliver 10 thematic demonstration trajectories on those key enabling automation technologies for smart factories and green technologies for smart homes and factories. The demonstration actions will inspire practicing engineers towards new products and new production methodologies. The intermediary organisations will actively create awareness on the future I4.0. One of the focus-areas of this project is Smart Homes. This report describes the state-of-the-art with the partner organisations of this topic. Please cf. below for the sub-reports, produced by the INCASE partners: | september 1, 2016 | augustus 31, 2019 |
Spelen met Stroom(ing) | Research has shown that the Grevelingen Lake is slowly loosing its biodiversity. One way to prevent further loss is opening up the lake to tidal influence again. This will not only form an opportunity for nature to restore itself, but it also gives opportunities to install tidal powerplants in order to generate more green power. However, opening up the lake will also set other changes and processes in motion. One of the aspects is erosion of the lake banks. With lab experiments the erosion rate at different locations in around the Grevelingen lake is determined and the results are used to make a prediction of the total erosion after the opening of the lake. CBCI - Circular Bio-based Construction Industry | The EU-funded project Circular Bio-based Construction Industry (CBCI) focuses on more efficient use of raw materials in construction. This will help reduce carbon emissions during the entire life cycle of a building. At the heart of this project is the development of a comprehensive approach to circular and bio-based construction that the construction industry can build upon in the transition to a circular economy. | maart 1, 2019 | september 30, 2022 |
