Mobility Makers

Project description

In the North Sea region, particularly in Vlissingen’s Kenniswerf, intermediate and rural areas struggle with sustainable mobility due to limited public transport and shared mobility options. This has led to heavy reliance on personal cars, negatively impacting climate change, air quality, road safety, and overall livability. To address these challenges, the Mobility Makers project aims to develop user-centered mobility solutions by understanding users’ needs and encouraging changes in daily mobility practices.

Outcomes

Six personas have been created which are based on the three target groups (students, university employees, and local business employees). Besides, the group came up with three solutions and prototypes to encourage changes in daily mobility practices, such as; community mobility workshops, employee rewards and sharing experiences.
