Surf & Durf is a foundation which has the goal of reaching as many vulnerable children & young adults as possible in the region of Walcheren to provide them “Growth on the waves”, an important program to help children’s personal development. The frictions can best be explained as: lack of accessible, comprehensive information and resources on biobased materials, and concerns about costs and practicality There is a need to create an easily accessible platform with detailed information, resources, and support for biobased construction. But obstacles include industry resistance to change, limited funding, and misconceptions about biobased materials' cost and durability.  +

The FBI program is a two-year course that trains students to become broadly employable professionals in the food and/or hospitality sector. The FBI program started out as nine students and is currently at six. Due to the lack of students, the FBI program must market to the correct personas. The garage team has been asked by the lead of the FBI program to come up with three personas in food retail, restaurant, and hospitality industry in hopes to obtain more students by Fall 2024.  +
The project is for the Municipality in Goes, specifically the department of the Municipality that works on the management of waterways in and around Goes. The problem occurred in 2022 during a particularly hot summer when high temperatures and thunderstorms in led to a radical increase in water temperature and algae growth, which in turn resulted in a harmful algal bloom and the death of wildlife in the lake. There is a need for a sustainable and realistic solution to prevent similar situations from happening in the future. However, due to the lakes' proximity to housing areas, a solution must be found that satisfies the requirements while keeping the lake a feasible recreational area for the general population.  +

There are several frictions experienced by volunteers participating in different groups; there is a noticeable gap between active and passive volunteers, a need to raise more awareness between beach goers and tourists. There is a need to find a new leader to future proof the Pennywafelhuis as the two leaders of the Pennywafelhuis are going to retire in a few years, but they are worried about what will happen to the Pennywafelhuis when they do.  +

The frictions can best be explained as residents need to change their behavior and participate in more smart mobility solutions. There is a need to create a new and innovative smart mobility solution that could be used by the students and faculty of HZ.  +
The SSV is responsible for the management, maintenance and operation of the beaches in the municipality of Veere and Vlissingen. They want to have creative methods and services to reinforce and maintain beach properties and facilities, while reducing the CO2 and becoming neutral by 2030. But also, to make sure residents, tourists and other stakeholders from the region are still able to enjoy the beaches sides from Vlissingen and Veere in a safe manner but still make it futureproof.  +
Entrepreneurs in Middelburg regularly encounter customers/tourists who would like to purchase larger products, but do not have the ability to take it with them all day. Customers find it inconvenient that they have to return to pick up the product they bought after their stay in Middelburg. In addition, they notice that during the season tourists must bring their suitcase directly to the car after spending the night and then leave directly. Therefore, the research is about finding a solution to implement a storage hub option that works effectively for both tourists and entrepreneurs in Middelburg and make sure it is visible and accessibl for everyone.  +

Zeeuws Klimaatfonds is an organization that subsidizes sustainable projects. Frictions are experienced by the ZKF, its partners and the people of Zeeland. They experience frictions that consist of a communication deficit between ZKF and its partners and a lack of brand awareness amongst the public in Zeeland. There is a need to streamline communication with partners and to gather more visibility in Zeeland but the time and resources ZKF has available are limited.  +
