Summary of the project
This programme aims to helps SMEs and develop the low-carbon market across Norfolk and Suffolk in the United Kingdom through independent expertise, grant funding, and Carbon Charter accreditation.
Independent experts provide SMEs with guidance on the best energy saving measures for individual businesses. To help implement these energy saving measures, BEE Anglia provides opportunities to apply for grants up to £10,000 or 40% of costs to implement energy saving measures. The programme has provided over 200 grants to businesses totalling £1.5 million, and there are still a few grants available.
This programme also provides the opportunity for businesses to receive a Carbon Charter accreditation (Bronze, Silver, and Gold). This accreditation will help businesses to stand out, provide a network of other like-minded businesses, and guide a business towards greater sustainability.
BEE Anglia also helps businesses implement energy and resource efficiency measures by hosting a database of suppliers and installers of low carbon technologies. Their website lists the currently available contracts above £25,000. This helps to connect businesses, suppliers, and installers. Along with potential grant funding, BEE Anglia can help businesses plan, procure, and implement energy saving measures.
