Waste separation is highly promoted at HZ. The waste management team builds awareness of the importance of waste separation and aims to reduce the amount of waste that is produced on campus.
Watch our promotional video of waste management here---> this video.
In 2017, HZ students initiated waste separation in their own student houses of APV Housing in Vlissingen. The waste separation initiative was followed up by another group of students, and it was eventually adopted by the HZ Green Office. The initiative is supported by the municipality of Vlissingen and helps them to reach their objective to reduce the amount of waste produced from 400kg to 100kg per person, as is demanded by European Legislation.
We are currently looking for student ambassadors that would like to raise awareness about the importance of waste separation at the HZ campus in Vlissingen and APV student housing in Vlissingen. Contact us if you are interested or if you just want to share your ideas on how our current waste separation initiatives can be improved. Student ambassadors can link their activities to HZ personality credits.
Want to help us with these projects? Or do you have a new idea on the topic of waste management? Send us an email at greenoffice@hz.nl
