Help save the environment as a student at HZ! 
The HZ Green Office is a team of students from HZ University of Applied Sciences who are passionate about sustainability and want to bring a change to the world!
It was created during the International Business Program, in the Sustainable Practice course. The students started to come up with a variety of projects surrounding the topic of sustainability: projects ranged from CO2 emission research to sustainable fashion shows. As time passed, local municipalities, companies, and organizations started to get interested in collaborating with the students. The movement started to grow into something more… Creating the opportunity to establish our very own Green Office!
The HZ Green Office informs, connects, and supports students and staff to act on sustainability. At the same time, the GO develops its own ideas to better embed sustainability in education, research, or operations.
The current activities involve regular cleanups of the harbour, the beach, and the forest. Other outdoor activities include gardening at our very own Student Garden located at the APV Campus! We have an important project regarding Waste Management at the HZ University and the student accommodation. A bike-sharing project with GoAbout contributes to lowering HZ’s CO2 emissions from mobility! Other projects involve clothing exchange and plotting events!
