The meetings also focused on finding possibilities for circular solutions within the current business model. Nineteen value chain meetings were organized and not only entrepreneurs but also suppliers and other local parties attended. In 2021, seventeen pilots spread over Flanders and the Netherlands will start. The pilots are created to stimulate the adoption of circular solutions by SME’s in the tourism sector. Motivated entrepreneurs with a background in different lines of tourism participate in the pilots (day attractions, accommodations, catering and municipalities). The pilots consist of developing an action plan to make a company more circular.
