|Profiletext=Ing.
|Profiletext=Eva Hartog is researcher at the research group Aquaculture in Delta areas at HZ University of Applied Sciences. She graduated with a BSc in Water Management and joined the HZ University of Applied Sciences in 2013, after working at Wageningen Marine Research and the NIOZ. Her work at the HZ University of Applied Sciences is mainly focused on applied research related to shellfish ecology and shellfish farming. Currently she is working on projects covering themes such as improving yield and making mussel and oyster production more sustainable. In addition to that, she is involved in projects regarding oyster spat settlement, where knowledge is gained by applied research. The best way to promote all these projects for students to contribute in the research is telling them: ‘practical and applied research in aquaculture subjects is extremely challenging and very interesting. It is really fulfilling to see farmers use your ideas in practice!
