|Profiletext=Dr. Ir. Hans Cappon is docent en senior onderzoeker op het gebied van watertechnologie bij de HZ University of Applied Sciences en bij Wageningen Universiteit. Zijn hoofdonderwerp is ultrasone waterzuivering en systeemmodellering. Hij heeft zijn master Biomechanical Engineering aan de Technische Universiteit behaald in 1997. Voorafgaand aan zijn huidige baan heeft hij gewerkt bij TNO en de Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven op het gebied van fysische modellering en optimalisatie van mechanische en biomechanische systemen.
|Profiletext=Dr Hans Cappon is Professor of the Water Technology Research Group within HZ University of Applied Sciences. Over his years at HZ he has worked on many water technology projects including; NEREUS (New Energy and Resources for Urban Sanitation), FRESH4Cs (Alternative Fresh Water resources for Coastal Areas), IMPROVED (Integrale Mobiele Processwatervoorziening voor een Economische Delta) and was involved in the operations of the Dow/Evides pilot within the EU-FP7 E4Water project.
Aside from his work with the research group he is also a lecturer in water treatment at HZ at BSc and MSc level and a lecturer and researcher in Urban Systems Engineering in the department of Environmental Technology at Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
Hans has over 20 years of experience in scientific research, also from his previous work at TNO and the Catholic University in Leuven. Hans’ main expertise is modelling and optimization of dynamic systems with a focus on water treatment and energy systems during the last 10 years. In 2014 he completed his PhD entitled “Numerical and experimental design of ultrasonic particle filters for water treatment.” He achieved his Master in Biomechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Eindhoven in 1997.
