Highly involved in integrating sustainability within our own school, working in close collaboration with the students of the HZ Green Office, my direct colleagues within the HZ Community, our support staff, teachers and external stakeholders. Involved in different projects and initiatives related to The Scheldt, such as "Samenwerkingsovereenkomst Schone Schelde", Scheldt Youth Parliament, PLONS (Plastic Onderzoek Schelde) en "Rechten van de Scheldes". Representative within HZ of "Buitenkans", a MDT project focused on personal development in connection to nature. Project leader at HZ of the project Boer&Buur met Natuur, working on a more sustainable catering and making innovations on food  more visible, in connection to the HZ Food Community and the New Waves project. Developing different green spaces around HZ Campus based on permaculture and using biobased materials, like a HZ Food garden and a Community garden at the student campus of APV Housing in Vlissingen.

Outside HZ, i guide theses at the part-time Executive Master of Science in Corporate Communication (MScCC). Together with my husband we renovated an old bakery in Middelburg into a home, using biobased and recycled materials, and running on 100% renewable energy via a KIM heat system.
